We here present you the first edition of the Why?Newton Research and Media’s Emagazine. Although the term Why?Newton has lot to do with our vision but it actually, here, represents an amalgamation of Technology and Innovation powered by the Entrepreneurial spirit of budding engineers to enhance the quality of life and the social fabric. We envisage this emagazine to be a propagating media, a flag bearer of the ideas that sprout and needs to be nurtured through its upcoming editions.

This edition, focusing on Entrepreneurship inside Campus, brings to you an exclusive interview with Mr. H.K.Mittal, Advisor and Head of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB). Our passion also stands for curing the deficiency within campuses in terms of the absence of Entrepreneurship and Incubation centres as a way to facilitate start-ups at a very freshman level where most ideas die a premature death- reflects our cover story.

We have tried to make this edition very student friendly and hence we wish you to step-up. Our Opinion section very well gets your “thought process and your questions” to the fore. Mapping the whole world of opportunities, we list out for you the upcoming events and opportunities. A sneak peek inside your campus- the Campus of the Month is our tribute to the most active campus in terms of academics and other activities.

In case if you missed our Just Like That section, let me remind you, laughter is the best medicine and a great stress buster. Not to miss our first initiative, we launch our JLT section with a quite relished entry from the My Engineering Story-’09 from our portal.

The next time you hear a string, we pray you stop and cheer. Efforts of any kind will not go unnoticed. Check out our Parallel Thinking section because our engineers can romanticize guitars and drums as much as they do with their Saturday offs and night outs.

We hope that the forthcoming editions would be even more recharging and enriching for you. It was fun reaching out to you and now it’s YOUR turn. Feel free to send us your feedback and suggestions about this edition at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for we look forward to an everlasting friendship of your ideas with our passion.
